Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood actor and writer who has received critical recognition for her talent. She's a Sagittarius born on December 3 1960 in North Carolina. She is oldest among three siblings, born to Peter Moore Smith who was an Army paratrooper. Her mother Anne works as a psychotherapist. She's English as well as Scottish. Her father was a professional who moved her family a lot. She had a difficult time making or keeping her friends. When her family moved to Germany Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School where she began appearing in performances. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983, with a B.F.A. A thesis on Theater. Moore was a graduate of college in New York and started her career as an off-Broadway actress following her move from New York. In 1985 Moore made her screen debut in an episode of The Edge of Night. She took on the dual roles of Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns. This was the show that became her break. She was on this show up to 1988, and she won an Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. In 1990 she debuted in the cinema world with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts, both produced by Robert Altman (1993), and 3 Women, also productions from Altman (1997) were among her works. The critically acclaimed performance of her in Short Cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore's debut lead role was on screen in Safe (1995). The actress' career took a turn after Steven Spielberg cast her to be the main character in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which became one of 1997's highest-grossing movies. She was awarded a SAG award nomination for Magnolia during 1999. The Hours, a 2002 film in which she co-starred with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. Other films Moore was a part of include The Forgotten (2004) Freedomland (2006) Shelter (2010) etc. Moore was a part of Non-Stop (2014). Moore was a regular in many films and television programs. The most recent role she has played is When You Finish Saving the World (2022). She has made her mark as a star in Hollywood and is also an author of children's books. In 2007, she published Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became a N.Y.T. Bestseller. The book was made into a series as well as a music. The author also released My Mom is Foreigner in 2013, an autobiography in 2013. Moore, as a very successful actor and author, has made her personal life public. She separated from John Robin in 1995. Bart Freundlich has given her two kids. She later married him in 2003. Moore's job, her friends and family are the most important aspects of her life.
